Who Needs CPAP

People diagnosed with Sleep-Disordered Breathing (SDB), such as OSA and snoring, are commonly treated with CPAP Therapy.

If your GP suspects you have SDB, you may be referred to a Sleep Specialist for evaluation. The next step may be that you are advised to have a Sleep Study or Polysomnogram (PSG). This study may be conducted at a Sleep Lab or at your home.

Based upon your Sleep Study results, you may be diagnosed with OSA. In most cases, your physician will then refer you for a CPAP Therapy trial.

Patients diagnosed with mild-to-moderate OSA may have the option of trying a Mandibular Advancement Splint (MAS).
